E I E I Ohhhhh NO, I NEED YOUR HELP!

I am putting together a farm unit and need your help!  I am including time, living/nonliving, syllables, poems, creative writing page, nouns/verbs, but THAT IS ALL I HAVE....

What else would be cool to include??? :)  I am up for most anything {I am thinking for PK-2}!

Leave your ideas in the comment section and THANKS!

  1. It's been a while since I've taught PK - 2, but what about...
estimating, probability (is that in the updated math TEKS?), abc order (to the 2nd letter), non-fiction text features (title, captions, pictures, bolded/key words), picto-graphs, nonstandard measurement, multi-step word problems, city and suburban. Sorry, I think I've actually started forgetting the lower grade TEKS due to STAAR overload!

    1. Thanks Deniece! That is great. STAAR is crazy, BUT we need to be aware too to get these kiddos ready. P.S. Don't get me started on that test!

Thinking of the younger end and some children with special needs, how about some memory/matching, sorting animals with multiple attributes (color, size and kind of animal?), number sets, who am I riddles... Hope this helps!

  3. Depending on the grade level, you could include practice counting sets, or simple word problems too. Hope this helps.

  7. I think it would be cute to do a page with time and what time you will feed the animals.

    Hope this helps
