HELP! To gloss or not to gloss... That is the question.

Hello Smart Tarts Learning Peeps.  I need your help.  I made these little certificates for my kiddos, but am not sure if I should get them printed in glossy or matte format.  What would you prefer if you were on the receiving end?

THANKS for your help!!

P.S. The candy is only on there as a watermark. :)

  1. I prefer matte BUT I know the little ones love shiny so I think I would go for the gloss! Whatever you decide your students will be thrilled to receive such a cute certificate!

  2. I agree. Probably gloss, especially if shiny.

  3. Like Jodi, I personally prefer matte. The little ones however, would probably like the glossy finish.

  4. I think I would go with the gloss. I agree kids like shiny things and could hang them without framing.

  5. Put a shine on your students' faces with a glossy certificate. Matte is dull looking to them.

  6. I would go with Gloss, makes the color pop more. My printer doesn't print on gloss very well so I do mine on matt and put it in a page protector which helps keep it clean till they get home. They love getting the page protectors. Just a thought.

  7. Glossy. How do you print glossy? Do you buy glossy paper? I have about $10 left at our district teacher store and I plan on having my certificates printed there:)

  8. Thanks all! Hmmmm... I am thinking that I need to buy glossy paper and then copy in color at an office store. The only problem I can foresee is that it won't be cardstock weight. I am sure that is okay, though. :) I like the page protector idea too. Maybe I could cut off the hole part, so it looks more official.

  10. I would go matte and laminate them. My daughter carried hers everywhere and even ate with it for a few months.
